Programs, at the height they happen.

Six ways to spend a day outside with us. Every one of them is built around the same patch of ground your child is going to get to know with both hands.

01

Nature preschool

A morning outdoors with the same small crew and the same woods, week after week. Boots on, layers on, out the door.

02

Forest kindergarten

The next step along: longer days in the trees, more ground covered, more weather, and more of the day spent away from base.

03

Homeschool enrichment

A regular outdoor day that slots in alongside whatever you are already doing at home. Trails, tools, and whatever the season is serving.

04

Trail days

One day, one trail, one group moving at the speed of the slowest pair of boots. A good way to find out how your child likes a long walk.

05

Seasonal camps

Camps that follow the year around the Bend seasons — wet spring creeks, dusty summer pine, leaf-crunch autumn.

06

Parent info sessions

Come without your child, ask the awkward questions, and meet the people who will be out there with them.

Where the grown-ups stand

From up here you can see the whole line.

Stand on the trail at adult height and the day looks different: a straggle of small backs, a leader out front, a teacher in the middle, and someone at the back who has stopped completely to look at a beetle. That is the view from a parent's height, and it is a good one.

What comes with them

  • Boots that can take a puddle
  • A warm layer and spare socks
  • A water bottle
  • A backpack they carry themselves
