Notebook 01 — Boulder, Colorado

From Root
to Molecule

Documented, from root to formula.

Herbal supplements, protein powders and custom vitamin packs, made in Boulder, Colorado — and written down. The plant, the part, the preparation and the daily plan are filed beside every formula we sell.

01 — Method

Every formula starts in the notebook.

Before a formula reaches you it has been written down: the plant, the part, the preparation and the reason it belongs in your plan. Nothing from Vital Roots is a mystery blend.

We start with a single botanical and work outward — toward the compound, then toward your daily plan.

That order matters. Rather than assembling a long ingredient list and hoping, we choose the plant, the part and the preparation it suits, then decide how it fits your week. When your plan changes, the formula changes with it and the record is updated to match.

  1. Step 01

    Sourcing

Each botanical is listed by species and plant part — root, leaf or flower — together with where it came from. The sourcing note travels with the formula it ends up in.

  2. Step 02

    Extraction

Water, alcohol or glycerin, chosen per plant rather than per trend. Ratio, temperature and steeping time are written into the log so a formula can be made the same way again.

  3. Step 03

    Formulation

The finished blend is listed with its ingredient amounts and daily serving, so the page in the log and the bottle on your shelf always say the same thing.

02 — Formulation Log

Three product lines. One record for each.

Every line in the log keeps its own entry: where the material came from, how it was prepared, and how it slots into a daily protocol.

  • Herbal supplements

    Single-herb extracts, sourced and recorded

One plant at a time, listed by species and part, with the preparation noted beside it. During coaching the logged formula is slotted into your day, with dose and timing agreed before anything ships.

  • Protein powders

A named source, not a blend sheet

The protein source is written next to the batch it came from. Mix it plain, or build it into a daily shake alongside your herbal protocol.

  • Custom vitamin packs

    Your formula, organised by day

Packs are assembled from the ingredients listed in your plan and labelled by day, so the record and the pack in your hand always match.

03 — Clinical Notes

Coaching that reads like a case file, not a pep talk.

Nutrition coaching here is a working relationship with notes. We record what you eat, how you train, how you sleep and how you feel — then revise the plan against what the record shows.

  1. Note 01 — Intake

    The history goes in first

We take a full account of your current diet, training load, medications and goals. You leave with a written summary and a short set of questions to answer before the next session.

  2. Note 02 — Protocol

The plan is drafted, not guessed

Food changes and supplement support are written together — herbal formulas, a protein target, and a custom vitamin pack if it fits. Every recommendation points back to something in your notes.

  3. Note 03 — Review

    We compare, then adjust

On a schedule you set, we revisit the file: what changed, what stalled, what to keep. Formulas and coaching focus are revised from there, and the log is updated to match.

04 — Standing Orders

Refills that follow the plan, not the calendar.

Subscription plans keep your formulas moving as your protocol changes. Change a dose, pause a line, or add a pack — the record changes with you.

Subscription plans

Set a rhythm. Keep it flexible.

Choose how often your herbal supplements, protein or custom pack arrive. As your coaching notes change, the standing order changes with them — nothing ships that no longer matches your plan.

  • Refills scheduled to your protocol
  • Doses adjusted between deliveries
  • Pause or resume without reordering

A month of support in one box

Your pack is organised by day and labelled against your plan, so a month of support arrives as a single box rather than a shelf of half-used bottles.

05 — Schedule

Book a consultation

Bring your questions, and your current bottles if you have them. A consultation is a working session: we go through your history, walk through the formulas that fit, and map out a supplement and coaching plan you can actually follow.
