Youth mentoring in Tulsa, Oklahoma

There’s a chair here for you.

One-on-one mentoring, group activities and school partnerships across Tulsa. No perfect speech required — just an hour that belongs to a young person, week after week.

One-on-one mentoring

A relationship first. A program second.

Mentoring isn’t a curriculum you deliver. It’s a person who keeps showing up. One young person, one mentor, a table between you, and an hour that belongs to them.

What showing up looks like

  1. 01 You show up. Same day, same time, week after week.
  2. 02 You listen more than you talk. The conversation belongs to them.
  3. 03 You come back next week. That’s the whole thing. It adds up.

Group activities

Some weeks, the table gets bigger.

Group activities put mentors and young people in the same room — games, projects, food and the easy company of other people doing the same thing. For a lot of new mentors, this is where it starts to feel natural.

You don’t need a perfect speech. You need a regular Tuesday.

That is the whole job description. The training, the school partnerships and the other mentors around you exist to make showing up easier.

How we prepare you

Ways in

Three more chairs at the table.

One-on-one mentoring is the heart of what we do. But there is more than one way to sit down with us.

01

Mentor training

Before you’re matched, we train you. You’ll learn what to expect, how to listen, and where to get help — so you’re not walking in blind.

02

School partnerships

We work alongside Tulsa schools so mentoring can happen where young people already are. That means tables in schools, not only somewhere else they have to travel to.

Scholarship program

When a young person finishes with us, the chair doesn’t get put away. Our scholarship program keeps the door open after graduation.
