Work order · Denver, Colorado

Your quote is the first stop on the traveler.

Tell us the part. We route the rest — material pulled, cut, formed, welded and finished — with the price coming back to you on the same ticket.

Send a print, a sketch or a sample part — pieces, short runs and one-offs.

The route

Every ticket travels the same route.

A traveler is the sheet of paper that follows your part across the shop floor. Five stations, and then it comes back to you as a price.

  1. 01

    Material

Stock is pulled to the gauge, alloy and sheet size named on your print, then checked against the ticket before anything is cut.

  2. 02

    Cut

Flat patterns are sheared and cut to size, then measured against the dimensions on the drawing before the sheet moves on.

  3. 03

    Form

Forming turns flat stock into the bent, rolled or curved shape the drawing calls for, with bend angles checked at the bench.

  4. 04

    Weld

Joins are welded and dressed, and the weld locations noted on the print are checked before the ticket moves on.

  5. 05

    Finish

Deburring, coating or paint to the finish named on the ticket — or left raw, if that is what the job needs. Edges and surfaces are checked by hand.

Shop floor

Between the ticket and the truck.

Send what you have. We will tell you what we still need to quote it, and where it stands while it is on the floor.
