Still Water Yoga  ·  Santa Fe, New Mexico

Still water.

Vinyasa, restorative, and a beginner series for people starting from nothing. Begin with an intro class — nothing to prepare, nothing to keep up with.

Class styles

Vinyasa, and its slow opposite.

Two ways to practice at Still Water, plus private sessions and memberships for anyone who wants the studio to become a regular part of the week. Both classes begin with the breath and end lying down.

01

Vinyasa

Movement tied to the breath — continuous, warm, and built so you can find your own pace inside it. Strength arrives quietly, without being chased.

02

Restorative

Long, supported holds with bolsters and blankets. Nothing to achieve. The body is held, so the mind has somewhere to put itself down.

03

Private sessions

One student, one teacher, and a sequence shaped around your body. Useful if you are returning after time away, working around an injury, or would simply rather begin without an audience.

04

Memberships

A monthly membership for people who come often, with first access to the schedule. Ask about it when you book your intro class.

Beginner series

For anyone who has never been on a mat.

A short series for people starting from nothing, or starting again. Slow, explained, and unembarrassed about either.

  1. 01

    Arrive early

Come a few minutes before class begins and sit down in the room. Let the noise drain out of you.

  2. 02

    Learn the ground

Standing shapes, the breath that carries them, and how to come down to the floor without thinking about it.

  3. 03

    Come back

The second class asks less of you than the first. That is the whole point of a series.

Sit down. The water settles on its own.
