Salt & Ember Kitchen Reserve

Charleston, South Carolina

Where last night’s fire meets this morning’s light.

Wood-fired dinner, weekend brunch, cocktails and private dining — all of it cooked over the same hearth, from the first dark hour to the last slow one.

01 — Wood-Fired Dinner

Dinner, cooked in the dark.

The hearth is lit before the room fills and it doesn’t go out. Wood-fired dinner arrives with the smoke still on it, cocktails are stirred at the edge of the glow, and nobody at the table is in a hurry.

  • Wood-fired dinner, cooked over the open hearth
  • Cocktails poured beside the fire
  • Weekend brunch the next morning, over the same coals

02 — Weekend Brunch

Brunch, cooked over last night’s embers.

The fire never fully goes out. By late morning it’s low and steady, and the room turns gold instead of dark. Weekend brunch comes off the same hearth — slower, softer, still faintly smoky — and the morning is meant to be spent, not rushed.

Weekend mornings

Brunch is a weekend affair, served late morning, when the light comes through the room.

The same coals

Everything on the morning table comes off the fire that burned through the night.

03 — Private Dining

Reserve the whole hearth.

A private room warmed by the same fire, for dinners that run long and don’t want to end. Tell us the shape of the evening and the menu gets built around it — the fire, the season, and the table you’re bringing.

Dinner and cocktails built around the hearth and whatever the season is giving us that week.

  3. 03
