Mist drifting over the French Broad River as it winds through the mountains near Asheville

Where breath becomes current

Vinyasa · Yin · Prenatal · Meditation

Rooted Flow is a yoga studio in the mountains of western North Carolina. Classes are breath-led, mixed-level and unhurried — with donation-based community classes open to anyone who walks in.

Our approach

Practice at the pace of a river.

Everything here starts with the breath — slower than you think, deeper than you expect.

Classes open with the breath and move from there. A vinyasa flow that carries you from one posture to the next. A yin practice that lets the body soften by degrees. A prenatal class that holds you steady while everything changes. A meditation that sits with the quiet.

You do not need to be flexible, experienced or especially calm to begin. Come as you are, and let the room meet you there.

What we teach

Four practices, one room.

Move between them through the week, or settle into the one that holds you. Every class is taught for mixed levels, and first-timers are welcome in all of them.

  1. 01

    Vinyasa Flow

Breath-led movement that links one posture to the next. Warming, steady, and easy to scale up or down as the day asks.

  2. 02

    Yin Yoga

Long, quiet holds close to the floor, letting the body soften by degrees. A slower current, and no effort to keep up with.

  3. 03

    Prenatal Yoga

Gentle, supported practice for pregnancy, with room for the breath to widen as the body changes shape.

  4. 04

    Meditation

Guided and unguided sitting practice. No experience needed — only the willingness to be still for a while.

Community classes

Donation-based, open to everyone.

Community classes are the heart of the studio — donation-based sessions where the practice stays exactly the same, whatever you are able to give.

Come for a single evening, or come every week and let it become part of your rhythm. No membership required, no experience assumed, no performance expected. Just a room of people breathing together.

Donation-based
Give what you can. The class itself is not reduced or shortened by what you are able to offer.
No membership
Community classes are open to anyone — members and non-members alike.
Beginners welcome
New to yoga, returning after years away, or moving through pregnancy — there is a place in the room for you.

Membership

Make it a weekly habit.

A membership holds your place in the week — steady practice, in whatever style the day asks for. Move when you want to move, settle when you want to settle.

Come to vinyasa on the mornings you want to be carried. Come to yin when the week has been loud. Come to meditation when you want the quiet, and to a community class when you want the room around you.

  1. 01

    Come to a community class

Donation-based and open to everyone. The easiest way to meet the studio and the room.

  2. 02

Find the practice that holds you

Vinyasa, yin, prenatal or meditation — mix them through the week, or stay with one.

  3. 03

    Join when it fits

A membership keeps your place open in class, month after month.
