A tall, empty studio room in deep shadow with a single red lamp glowing far back

Sound design studio — Detroit, Michigan

The room is the instrument.

Sound design for film, podcast editing, mixing, foley and original score — built to hold up in every room it plays in after ours.

01 — Listening

We spend more time listening than we do fixing.

A dry booth and a warehouse floor make two different films. So we mix against the space first — the tail, the low end, the noise floor — and then check the result the way your audience will hear it: on a phone, in a car, in headphones.

Room first

Every decision is judged against the space the sound has to live in, not against the loudness of the last thing we heard.

Then the work

Editing, mixing, foley and score, cut and balanced so nothing in the mix is doing a job it does not need to do.

02 — Services

Five services, measured by distance.

Not a price list. Five positions in the room, from the grille of a microphone to the air a whole scene sits in.

01

Podcast editing & dialogue

At the mic — 0.5 m

Conversation cut for meaning. Breaths, overlaps and the small human noises that make a room full of voices worth hearing.

02

Audio mixing

At the desk — 2 m

Balance, depth and translation — how the mix holds up in a car, on a phone, in a room nothing like ours.

03

Foley

At the far wall — 6 m

Footsteps, cloth, glass, doors — performed to picture, so the space you hear is a space that exists.

04

Music composition

Beyond the wall — 12 m

Original score and themes, written to the tempo of the cut and built from the same palette as the sound.

05

Sound design for film

In the air — everywhere

The atmosphere of a scene before anyone in it speaks — the hum, the distance, the air.

03 — The room

The quiet between two sounds is the part you remember.

We mix for it: long tails, a clean low end, and nothing in the sound that does not have to be there.

04 — Inquiry

Describe the room your project needs.

Two people at a kitchen table. A city with the windows open. A mix that has to survive a phone speaker at the far end of a room. Tell us the shape of it and we build from there.
