Before / After
Laser engraving works by subtraction: the beam lifts a hair of the surface and leaves a mark that will not wash off or peel away. Here is the same process on hardwood.
Blank stock: plain hardwood and powder-coated steel, waiting for a design to be chosen.
The burn, mid-cut: the beam darkening a Cathedral Rock profile into the grain.
01
A landmark, a monogram, a phrase from the trail. Simple line work engraves cleanest and reads best at a distance.
02
Every material takes its own setting — powder coat frosts pale, hardwood burns dark, glass etches white.
03
The mark goes into the material rather than onto it, so it holds through daily use and repeated washing.
