Spokane, WA · Adaptive sports, shared

Nobody should sit out a season for want of gear.

Pinecone Adaptive Sports Collective is a gear library. Adaptive equipment is expensive and athletes grow fast, so we keep it on the shelf, fit it to the person, and lend it out by the season.

Every piece on the shelf is waiting for its next athlete.

The gear

Everything on the shelf.

Each item is fitted to the athlete who borrows it, tuned between seasons and lent out again. Take it out, use it hard, bring it back — somebody else's first practice is next.

Subject · Equipment loans Card no. 0142

Equipment loans

Sit-skis, sport chairs, handcycles, recumbent trikes and tandems. We size them to the athlete, keep them tuned between seasons, and lend them out again. This is the long run of cards — most of what we do lives here.

The shelf, in use

Gear that comes back dirty.

Nothing here sits pretty. It goes out on the trail, onto the court and up the hill — then it comes back so it can go out again.

The shelf is only worth anything if it moves. Lend it, use it, bring it back — that's the whole system.

How the library works

Check out. Check in. Repeat.

Four steps, no paperwork mountain. Every item on the shelf follows the same path.

01

Join the library

Tell us what you'd like to try and who it's for. We'll match you with equipment and a program that fits.

02

Get fitted

We size the gear with you in person in Spokane — chairs, sit-skis, handcycles, helmets and all the small parts.

03

Take it out

Loans run by the season, so the gear goes wherever the season goes — snow, court, river trail.

04

Bring it back

Returns refill the shelf. Somebody else's first practice is next week, and their card is already waiting.

Sponsor a card

Keep the shelf stocked.

Recurring gifts pay for the unglamorous parts — repairs, replacement parts, new sizes as athletes grow, and the training that puts a volunteer beside every athlete. A monthly gift is a card that never leaves the shelf.

We'll email a secure link to finish setting it up.
