02 — A Day Out
One cart can cover four squares in a day. Here’s the shape of a long one, following the dotted line from the park to the beach.
The cart rolls in before the joggers do. Awning up, kettle on, squares marked out in chalk. First cup gets poured before the sun clears the oaks.
The bridal brunch square. The cart tucks into a courtyard off one of the squares, the shade does half the work, and the morning stays slow on purpose.
A courtyard turn for a team that has been in meetings since eight. Two hours of cart service, then a clean pack-down with no trace left behind.
The dessert square. Lights strung, cart open, salt air in everything. This is the stop where nobody checks the time.
