Lawrence, Kansas — individual, family & group counseling

Pull up a chair.

Some things are easier to say around a table. Meadowlark Counseling keeps plain rooms, warm light and unhurried time for adults, for families, for grief circles, and for the school staff who hold everyone else together.

01 Services

Four ways to sit down together.

Every service starts the same way: a chair, a table, and an hour that belongs to you. What changes is who is in the room — one person, a whole household, a circle of strangers, or a staff room of teachers.

Individual therapy

From $125

One-to-one sessions for anxiety, grief, transitions and the ordinary hard stretches of life. Weekly or biweekly, at a pace you set.

Family sessions

From $150

For households in the middle of a change — a move, a loss, or a teenager who has gone quiet. Everyone gets a chair and a turn.

Grief group circle

$45 per meeting

A small, ongoing circle for adults carrying a loss. Nobody is asked to perform their grief; you are welcome to mostly listen.

School-staff wellness workshops

From $400

A facilitated session for Lawrence-area schools, built for teachers and support staff: stress, boundaries, and keeping hold of the work you love.

Not sure which one fits? Call or text (555) 014-2290 and we will talk it through before you book anything.

02 The room

What the room actually looks like.

Mugs, mismatched chairs, hands folded on a tablecloth. The setting stays ordinary on purpose — it is easier to be honest somewhere that does not feel like an office.

03 How it starts

You do not need to have it neatly explained before you call. Here is what happens, in order.

  1. 01

    You call or text

Tell us a little about what is going on and which times of day suit you. If you reach voicemail, we call back.

  2. 02

We talk for a few minutes

What you are hoping for, whether you would rather come alone or with family, and whether this feels like the right fit.

  3. 03

We pick a time and begin

Sessions are held in Lawrence. Fees are set per session, and you know them before we start — no surprises later.
