An evening with
Lena Ortiz &
The Night Owls.

Tucson songs, desert nights and a chair saved for you — live shows, session work, songwriting and workshops from a band that plays close to the room.

The gate’s open. The songs are warming up.

Playing around Tucson and wherever the road leans — patios, listening rooms and festival stages.

Under the string lights

What the lights hang over.

Shows where the audience sits close enough to hear the strings breathe, sessions where the song comes first, and workshops that turn a courtyard table into a room full of players.

What we do

Rooms around the courtyard.

A stage on the patio, a long table for writing, a quiet corner for sessions, a bench for teaching. Every part of the work happens somewhere in the same courtyard — usually with the lights on.

Room 01

Live shows

The full band in a room that fits the songs — patios, listening rooms, festival stages, and the occasional front porch. Lena sings, the Owls answer, and nobody stands too far back.

Room 02

Session work

Harmonies, instruments and arrangements added to somebody else’s record — in the studio, in a back room, or down the wire from Tucson.

Room 03

Songwriting

Co-writes and commissions. Bring a title, a scrap of a story, or nothing at all — the long table has room for whatever you carry in.

Room 04

Workshops

Small groups on song craft, harmony singing and playing together. Beginners are welcome, and the well-practised mostly just get homework.

Merch

The stall by the gate.

Shirts and small things, laid out on a table under the lights. The stall goes up with the lights and stays until the last song — come by, say hello, and take a piece of the evening home.

No noise. We write when there’s something worth saying.
