Days at the Ranch

Long days, easy evenings.

A stay at the Lazy J runs on the light. Mornings belong to the horses, afternoons go to the herd or the river, and the table waits until the last rider is back in.

  1. 01

    First light — the corral

Horses are tacked early and riders are matched to them. From there the string heads out across the valley on a guided ride.

  2. 02

Afternoon — the herd or the water

Work cattle with the ranch crew across open country, or trade the saddle for a fly rod on the valley’s rivers and creeks.

  3. 03

Last light — the long table

Ranch-style meals come out family style, then the campfire goes up and the day winds down with the valley going dark around you.
