Civic research · Santa Fe, New Mexico

The numbers have a landscape.

Juniper Civic Institute translates municipal data into the contours of Santa Fe — research briefs, town halls, dashboards and county planning that keep every figure attached to a place.

01 — Municipal data dashboards

Data that knows where it lives.

We build dashboards for counties, municipalities and the public. Every measure is tied to the district, corridor or watershed it describes, so a figure can always be read against the ground it came from.

02 — County planning consulting

Plans that follow the contours.

We work with counties and communities on the ground truth of growth: where the water runs, where the roads end, and where the next wave of development should not go. Research first, then the plan.

03 — Briefs, town halls & speakers

Rooms where the numbers get argued about.

Research only matters if it is public. We publish briefs, convene town halls across the county, and host a speaker series that puts researchers, planners and residents in the same room.

  • Policy research briefs

Plain-language findings on the questions the county is actually asking.

  • Public town halls

Open sessions held where the research lands, not only where it is written.

  • Speaker series

Researchers and residents in conversation, on the record.

04 — Civic leadership fellowship

Learn to read a county the way you read a page.

The fellowship is for people who want to work where research meets public life in Santa Fe. Fellows work alongside the institute on policy research briefs, municipal data dashboards, town halls and county planning — learning the craft by doing it in public.
