Approach

The work is made on location.

Bend is high desert, river bend and volcanic rock. The photography happens where that shows.

Most sessions are outdoors — along the Deschutes, out among the juniper and the lava, or up where the Cascades take the light first. The ground decides the picture before the camera does.

Every shoot starts with a walk. We look at where the light falls at that hour, choose a stretch of ground, and build the session around it. You get a meeting point, a time, and a plan you can picture.

  1. 01 Find the ground We talk through what the pictures are for, then pick terrain that suits it — rock, river, sage, or a room with good windows.
  2. 02 Walk it at the right hour Sessions are set to the light, not the clock. Early, late, or in the flat grey that Central Oregon does so well.
  3. 03 Shoot and edit We work quietly and keep moving. Edited frames arrive as a sequence, not a pile, with print options for anything worth a wall.

Sessions

Five ways up.

Each kind of session sits at its own height on the map — from the low contours near the river to the summit line, where the prints live.

Line 01

Portrait sessions

Individual, couple and family sessions made outdoors, on ground you already know or ground we find together. Quiet, unhurried, and built around how you actually stand in a place.

Line 02

Editorial photography

Story-led photography for magazines, journals and long-form features. Shot on location and delivered as a sequence, so the images carry the piece rather than decorate it.

Mid-slope
Line 03

Brand lifestyle shoots

Candid, at-work photography for businesses that want to look like the place they actually are. Real rooms, real hands, real weather — no stock gestures.

Line 04

Event coverage

Coverage for openings, gatherings and conferences, following the day as it happens rather than staging it. Wide on the room, close on the people, nothing interrupted.

Ridge
Line 05

Fine-art prints

Selected frames from the same ground, printed and editioned for the wall. Landscapes, weather and quiet hours around Bend, made to be lived with rather than scrolled past.

Portfolio

Landmarks, not a grid.

A few frames from each elevation. Every image is made in Central Oregon, on ground we can point to on a map.

Booking

Pick a session. We’ll set the meeting point.

Booking starts with a note, not a contract. Tell us which session you have in mind and roughly where you would like to shoot, and we will come back with dates, a time that suits the light, and a place to meet.

  1. 01 You send a note with the session type, the season and the number of people.
  2. 02 We reply with open dates and a meeting point chosen for the hour.
  3. 03 You get a plan for the session, then the edited frames and print options.

Leave a note at the trailhead

A few lines is plenty. We answer every note ourselves.
