Key Largo, Florida

Wake to the tide. Not an alarm.

Solaris is a small, solar-powered resort on the water in Key Largo — bungalows at the shoreline, the reef a short swim out, and dinner from the garden a few steps from your door.

Solar bungalows

Every bungalow runs on the sun it catches on its roof.

Solaris keeps a handful of bungalows on the water, each one powered by its own rooftop panels and open to the breeze coming off the reef.

Days here are measured in tides rather than hours — a swim before breakfast, a paddle through the mangroves, a long shaded lunch, and a slow walk back along the sand at dusk.

  • Off the grid, on the water
  • A short swim from the reef
  • Shade and quiet at any hour

On the water

Days that keep their own hours.

Snorkeling, paddleboarding and yoga on the sand all happen a few steps from your bungalow — and none of them on a schedule you have to keep.

Farm to table

Dinner is whatever the garden and the water hand over.

We cook what is ready that day — greens and fruit from the beds behind the bungalows, fish from the boats that came in that morning — and we serve it outside, a few steps from the shore.

  • Brought in off the water
  • Served barefoot, near the sand
