Selected work

What leaves the shop.

Plate, tube and sheet — detailed from your drawings and delivered as parts that land square on site.

01

Structural connections

Plate and tube assemblies squared off the bench and welded to hold. Gussets, base plates and braced frames built to the connection detail, then checked and marked before they leave.

02

Screens & architectural panels

Laser-cut patterns with formed returns and welded corners, made for facades, partitions and guard rails. Every panel in a run is cut and formed to the same drawing, so the finished surface reads as one plane.

Formed & bent assemblies

Press-braked parts held to the drawing — returns, channels, trims and enclosures — brought together as one finished unit instead of a pallet of loose components.

Capabilities

One shop, five steps. No handoffs.

From the first cut to the final assembly, the work stays under our roof in Bend. That means one conversation about tolerance, finish and fit — and one set of hands on your parts.

  1. 01

    Custom metal work

Built to your drawing, from a single detail part to a run of repeat components.

  2. 02

    Welding

Structural and finish welding, with beads dressed back where the joint has to disappear into the surface.

  3. 03

    Laser cutting

Flat patterns, perforations and brackets cut clean from sheet, ready for forming or assembly.

  4. 04

    Bending

Press-braked returns, channels and profiles formed to the drawing so parts line up on site.

  5. 05

    Assembly

Components fitted, squared and finished as one unit, so your crew installs rather than assembles.

Process

Flat sheet to finished assembly.

Four stages, one continuous run through the shop. Nothing sits between steps waiting on a truck.

  1. 01

    Cut

Your drawing becomes a flat pattern and comes off the laser cut clean, marked and ready to form.

  2. 02

    Form

Plate is broken on the press brake — returns, channels and profiles held to the dimensions on the sheet.

  3. 03

    Weld

Joints are fitted, tacked and welded, with the finish work done wherever the weld has to read flat.

  4. 04

    Assemble

Parts are brought together, squared and checked as one unit before it is loaded for delivery.

The shop

Every joint, every bend, every cut — built to hold.

Ironwood Fabrication is a metal shop in Bend, Oregon. We take drawings and rough ideas and turn them into parts that fit the first time — cut on the laser, formed on the brake, welded and assembled under one roof.

Architects and contractors bring us the details that have to read clean: a connection that meets the drawing, a screen that repeats exactly, an assembly that lands square on site.

Start a project

Send the drawing.

Bring us a set of drawings, a sketch or a written scope. We look it over, ask the questions that matter, and come back with a build plan and a quote.
