Hide & Timber Commission

Custom leatherwork — Bozeman, Montana

Made for the weather you live in.

Wallets, belts, bags and journal covers, cut and stitched to order — plus repairs for the pieces you have already broken in.

01 — The range

Five kits, one range.

Every piece belongs to a place it actually gets used: a pocket, a waist, a shoulder, a pack, a bench. Tell us which miles it has to cover and it gets cut to fit.

  1. 01

    Pocket kit

    Wallets

Built around the pocket it lives in — cards, cash, and nothing that bulks it out.

  2. 02

    Waist kit

    Belts

Measured to you and cut from a single length, finished so it wears in rather than out.

  3. 03

    Carry kit

    Bags

For the load you carry every day, through weather that changes its mind.

  4. 04

    Field notes

    Journal covers

A cover for the notebook you actually keep, worn soft by pocket and pack.

  5. 05

    Trail fix

    Repairs

Restitch, re-edge, or replace what is worn. A piece that has been used well is worth keeping.

02 — Portfolio

Field specimens.

Pieces that have gone out the door and come back with miles on them. Every commission starts as a conversation about where it is headed.

03 — Trail fix

Carry it hard. Bring it back.

Leather is meant to be used, and used leather can be brought back. Wallets, belts, bags and journal covers come to the bench for restitching, hardware replacement and edge work.

  1. 01 Tell us what the piece has been through and where it is wearing.
  2. 02 We look it over at the bench and tell you what it needs.
  3. 03 It goes back out with the miles intact.

04 — Commission

Commission your field kit.

Tell us what it has to do — the pocket, the waist, the shoulder, the miles. We will get back to you and work out the details from there.
