The kitchen writes its seasonal tasting menu from the garden and the growers around us, then pours a wine flight beside it. Private dining and a Sunday family supper run on the same table.
Our sourcing is deliberately short. The menu is written after the harvest rather than before it, built from what the garden and the growers around Charlottesville are giving that week.
Guests can walk the beds with the kitchen before service on a chef’s garden tour — the same rows the evening’s courses are drawn from.
The dining room runs the evening at one unhurried pace, with the seasonal tasting menu at its centre and the wine flight poured beside it.
Behind it, the private dining room holds a table of your own — for celebrations, company dinners and gatherings that want their own timing.
Tuesday through Saturday, the room runs the seasonal tasting menu and its wine flight, course by course, at a steady and deliberate pace. Tables are held from 5:30, with the last seating at 9:00.
Sunday is the other half of the week: one shared supper, set for passing, served the way a family table is served. Seatings in the late afternoon and early evening.
Reserve the dining room for the seasonal tasting menu, hold the private room for your own table, or ask about the Sunday family supper. Tell us the date and we’ll match the rest.
