Find your light
on the dance floor.

Harborlight Dance Collective teaches ballet, tap and hip-hop, runs a beginner series built for adults, and takes a competition team to the stage — plus seasonal camps when school is out.

— The light's on. Come dance.

Classes

Six ways to dance with us

Every class opens with a warm-up and closes with a run-through, so you leave knowing exactly what you learned. Pick the one that fits and we'll take it from there.

01

Ballet

Barre work, positions and the balance that holds everything else up. Starts at the ground floor — no experience needed.

02

Tap

Rhythm first, then footwork. The loudest hour of the week, and the one where everybody laughs at their own feet.

03

Hip-Hop

Choreography and musicality, taught at a pace that keeps the whole room moving. Clean-soled sneakers are all you need.

04

Adult Beginner Series

A series written for adults who have never taken a dance class. Start at zero and build week by week.

05

Competition Team

Our performing team, rehearsing for competition season and carrying the studio's name out into the county.

06

Seasonal Camps

School-break mornings full of dance, games and a snack break. Open to first-timers and returning dancers alike.

Class days and times change with each term. Tell us which class you're after and we'll confirm the next open spot before you come in.

Inside the studio

A room where the teachers know your name

Harborlight runs on small classes and long habits: everybody warms up together, everybody gets corrected, and nobody spends the hour hiding at the back.

Watch a camp morning and you'll see how it works — older dancers helping the younger ones find the count, then the whole room running it again until the music and the feet line up.

Hip-hop is the loudest hour of the week. Bring your friends.

What to bring

Come as you are. Bring five things.

Nothing on this list needs to be new and nothing needs to be expensive. If you're unsure, come to the first class and ask.

  • Water bottle

The room warms up fast once the second half of class starts moving.

  • Hair ties and pins

Hair off the face, so you can see the line of your own arm.

  • Dance shoes

Ballet slippers and tap shoes for those classes. Clean-soled sneakers are fine for hip-hop.

  • A layer to pull on

Coastal mornings start cool, and the studio is warm by the afternoon.

  • A snack for camp days

Camp mornings run long, and the dancers earn the break.
