Pattern making
Patterns and tooling are built first, setting the shape that every casting downstream has to follow.
Milwaukee, Wisconsin · Sand · Investment · Die
We pour sand, investment and die castings, then finish them here — pattern making, machining and heat treating. From drawing to finished part, without the job leaving the shop floor.

Patterns set the shape. Then the part takes whichever casting route suits its size, detail and volume, and finishes downstream at machining or heat treating.

Patterns and tooling are built first, setting the shape that every casting downstream has to follow.
Bonded sand molds take larger and heavier parts — geometry where the casting needs mass more than fine detail.
Wax patterns are coated in ceramic and burned away, leaving a cavity that holds fine detail and tight tolerance on intricate parts.
Molten metal is forced into steel dies for repeatable production, when the same part has to run again and again.
Castings move straight to machining so surfaces, bores and fits are cut to the drawing after the pour.
Controlled thermal cycles settle the grain and bring the casting to the properties the finished part needs.
Process · Drawing to finished casting
Every job starts with a drawing. From there it takes the same route: tooling first, then one pour, then the finishing work the part needs.
A drawing, model or sample part comes in with alloy, quantity and tolerances. We go through it and confirm which casting method fits.
Patterns are built to suit the method, so the cavity is right before any metal moves.
The route is chosen by size, detail and volume — bonded sand, ceramic shell or a steel die.
Once the casting has cooled, surfaces, bores and fits are machined to the tolerances on the print.
Controlled thermal cycles settle the grain and bring the casting to the properties the finished part needs.

The more we know about alloy, quantity and tolerance, the faster we can come back with a route and a price.
