A wedding chapel in the Smoky Mountains

Your support writes the next chapter.

Couples come to Grace Chapel to be married, to renew their vows, and to prepare for the marriage they are beginning. Each of them is written into the register by hand — and beside them, every member and friend whose support keeps the chapel open and the work going.

The work of the chapel

Kept in chapters.

Grace Chapel offers wedding ceremonies, vow renewals, chapel rentals, officiant services, and pre-marital counseling, all arranged by appointment. Every one of them is held open by the members and friends of the chapel. Here is what your support keeps ready.

Chapter One

Wedding ceremonies

A wedding at Grace Chapel is a small, unhurried ceremony in a room built for exactly that. Couples come down the aisle with the mountains outside the windows, and they leave with their names written into the register kept at the front of the chapel.

  • Wedding ceremonies
  • Chapel rentals
  • Officiant services

Chapter Two

Vow renewals

Couples come back years later to say the same words again, slower this time. The chapel holds a renewal with the same care as a first wedding: a quiet room, an officiant, and a fresh line in the register beside the old one.

  • Vow renewals
  • Anniversary ceremonies
  • Chapel rentals

Chapter Three

Pre-marital counseling

Before the vows there is the conversation. Couples meet with our officiant to talk through the marriage they are about to begin — what they expect of one another, and what they hope to build. Counseling is offered here as part of the chapel's work, sustained by the people whose support keeps the register turning.

Ways to give

Membership & gifts

Grace Chapel is kept open by the people who love it — couples married here, families who return, and friends of the chapel in Gatlinburg and beyond.

An annual membership or a single gift is entered into the same register as the weddings, and it is read with the same attention.

  1. 01

    Choose your part

An annual membership sustains the chapel through the year. A one-time gift meets a need as it arises. Both are received with the same gratitude.

  2. 02

    Your name is entered

Every supporter is written into the chapel register — in full, by initials, or anonymously, exactly as you prefer. The register is kept at the front of the chapel.

  3. 03

    The work continues

Your support keeps the doors open for wedding ceremonies, vow renewals, chapel rentals, officiant services, and pre-marital counseling.

The register

How a name is entered.

Supporters are recorded exactly as they choose. Some sign in full, others prefer a shorter line, and some ask to be left out of the page altogether — every one of them is entered with the same care.

  • Most supporters sign as they wish to be known — a first and last name, or a family name.
  • Some prefer a shorter line: initials, a surname, a date.
  • A name may be left out altogether. The entry is still made, and the gift still counts.
  • A gift may be recorded in someone else's name, and their family told of it if you wish.
