Glacier Peak Expeditions guides single days and multi-day itineraries in the mountains and valleys around West Glacier. Every trip is built as a custom quote — nothing packaged, nothing off the shelf.
Roped travel on glacier terrain with a guide who reads the surface. Routes and terrain are set with your guide on the day, so the plan follows what the mountain gives us.
Days on the wall for climbers who want vertical ground rather than a view of it. Technical instruction and equipment are arranged with your guide before you travel.
Safari hours are built around when animals actually move — early and late — with the middle of the day for travel, food and rest.

Wildlife safaris
A safari is not a checklist. It is long, quiet hours in good light, positioned well, waiting for something to decide to appear. We plan the position and the hours; the animals keep their own schedule, and we plan around that rather than promising a sighting.
Bring a long lens if you have one. If you do not, the photography workshop covers how to work with the gear already in your bag.
Photography workshops
This is the anchor of the itineraries we quote. Instead of choosing a route and hoping for good light, we start from the images you are after and reverse the days out of them.
You tell us what you want to come home with — a glacier surface at first light, a long-lens animal encounter, a climber on a wall, a wide valley from height. Rough descriptions are fine.
Each frame gets a time of day and a position. Early and late hours do the photographic work; the middle of the day becomes travel, food and rest.
Hikes, climbs, safari hours and trek sections are placed to serve those windows. Multi-day trips get the same treatment, stretched over more mornings.
You get one custom quote for the whole itinerary rather than a stack of separate bookings. Change the frames, and the quote moves with them.
