02 — Restoration

Restoration, from seed mix to established bed.

Four ways we work on a restoration project — from the mix that goes down in year one to the beds we hold for a municipal order, and the planting plan that ties it together.

01

Restoration seed mixes

Blended for wet meadow, oak savanna edge, and open ground, written out species by species so you know exactly what goes in the ground.

02

Contract growing for municipalities

Beds set aside ahead of the season for municipal and restoration-scale orders, grown on to your specification rather than ours.

03

Pollinator garden design

Planting plans that layer bloom from early spring into hard frost, drawn for the soil, slope, and water you actually have.

04

On-site landscape consultation

We walk the ground with you, look at what is already growing, and leave you with a species list a contractor can build from.

Wet meadow

Camas, rushes, and moisture-loving grasses for ground that holds water into spring.

Oak savanna edge

Sun-loving forbs and bunchgrasses for the transition between canopy and open ground.

Open ground & roadside

Fast-establishing mixes for bare soil, shoulders, and wide open restoration ground.

03 — For landscape architects

For the people who draw the plans.

Bring us a site plan and the conditions you are working with. We will tell you what will hold, what will flower, and what will not — before it goes on the drawing.

Fernhollow grows native stock in Corvallis for designers, restoration crews, and municipalities. That means we can talk about the plants the way you need to: by bloom window, by moisture, by how they behave in year three when nobody is looking.
