Avian veterinary care · Madison, Wisconsin
Wellness exams, beak and nail trims, wing clipping, boarding, and emergency care for the birds of Madison — from both sides of the lakes.
01 · Exams, trims & emergencies
Birds reach the clinic by three routes: a scheduled exam, a stay while you travel, and the emergency that can't wait. All three land in the same room, in the middle of Madison.

Heading out of town? Your bird can stay with us for the days you are away, on the routine you describe at drop-off.
Boarding detailsIf something has changed suddenly — a bird sitting fluffed, off its food, or injured — call the clinic before you set out, so we can be ready the moment you arrive.
02 · Boarding
Some birds come in for an hour; some stay for a week. Overnight and multi-day boarding is booked the same way as an exam — tell us the dates and the routine the bird keeps at home.
03 · Everyday care
Trims, wings, and diet are where a lot of avian trouble starts — and where most of it stops. We look at all three together, because a beak that needs trimming is usually saying something about the bowl.
Length, wear, and whether a trim is due now or can wait.
Whether clipping suits this bird and this household, and how much to take.
What is in the bowl now, and the shortest route to something better.
Cage, perches, sleep, and the hours of light the bird actually gets.
Voice, appetite, droppings, behavior — the details only you can bring in.
04 · Appointments
Exams, trims, and boarding are requested here. Tell us about the bird and what you need, and the clinic will come back to you with a time.
Your name, the bird, and the service you need — exam, trim, or a boarding stay.
The clinic replies by email or phone to lock in the date that works for you.
Bring the carrier the bird travels in, plus any notes on diet and routine.
Skip the form and call the clinic, so we can be ready before you arrive. Emergency care is part of what we do here.
