The camp day

A day in the barn

Camp runs on a routine the campers learn by heart. Ponies first, then riding, then the rail — and every camper knows their pony's name by lunchtime.

  1. 01

    Arrival and barn check

Boots on, water bottles down, and a hello for every pony on the aisle.

  2. 02

    Groom and tack up

Curry, brush, hoof pick. Campers learn their pony's kit and how to put it on properly.

  3. 03

    Group riding lesson

Beginner lessons in the ring, grouped by size and confidence. Walk and trot first; canter when it's time.

  4. 04

    Lunch in the shade

A breather, a snack and more water before the afternoon session.

  5. 05

    Afternoon on the rail

Poles, games and rail work, then untack and cool the ponies out.

  6. 06

    Barn tidy and pick-up

Ponies fed and watered, tack away, and the day written up on the stall card.

Campers are grouped by size and confidence, and every session ends with the ponies fed, watered and cooled out.

Bring long pants and a water bottle.

Year-round programs

The barn runs all year.

Camp is summer. When the camp weeks are over the work carries on: beginner lessons, hunter-jumper training, boarding and turnout, leasing and coaching at the shows.

Come with long pants and a smile.

Booking

Hold a camp spot.

Send the inquiry form and we'll confirm your week, then pass along the camp forms. Lessons, boarding, leasing and show coaching all start the same way — tell us what you're after and we'll take it from there.
