What we work on

Four stops along the path.

How it works

From first call to first session.

One short call or text is all it takes to get started. Here's the whole trail, start to finish.

01

You call or text

Tell us your child's grade, the subject that needs a hand, and roughly when lessons could fit your week. A two-minute conversation is plenty.

02

Free 15-minute consult

We talk through what feels wobbly, what's already working, and what steady help would look like. No cost and no commitment.

03

Lessons begin

We pick the first stepping stone and start there, building the next one once the last one feels solid.

“Wherever your child is on the path, there's a next stone.”

About Cedar & Chalk

Small steps, clear water, real progress.

An owner-run practice in Boise, working with K–5 families on reading, writing, math and test prep.

Cedar & Chalk Tutoring is a small, owner-run practice in Boise. Lessons are paced to the child in front of us and shaped around what's actually happening in their classroom this month.

Progress in reading and math rarely arrives in a leap. It arrives in steps — a new sound mastered, a strategy that finally clicks, a page read without stopping to ask for help. Our job is to make each step feel like ground a kid can stand on.

Most families start with one question about one subject. That's the perfect place to start.

Pick one subject. We'll take it from there.
