Wing Chun · Eugene, Oregon

One move.
Then the same move.

Wing Chun is a close-range martial art built from a small number of movements, repeated until the body stops asking questions. Every class is open to complete beginners.

The practice

Five ways in.

Wing Chun is taught through repetition — the same small movement, done again until it stops being a movement. Every class begins the same way. Choose the door that suits you.

  1. 01

    Beginner Wing Chun

Your first form, one movement at a time. No experience needed.

  2. 02

    Kids Kung Fu

The same movements, taught younger — balance, attention and patience.

  3. 03

    Women's Self-Defense

Close-range, practical work for the situations that happen up close.

  4. 04

    Private Lessons

One student, one instructor, your own pace and your own questions.

  5. 05

    Seminars

Longer sessions for students who want more hours on the floor at once. Dates are announced as they are set.

Your first class

Nothing to learn yet.
Only to repeat.

You will not be asked to keep up. You will be asked to do one thing, slowly, and then do it again. That is the whole of it.

  1. 01

    Arrive

Come in, set your shoes aside, and watch the room for a few minutes before you join it.

  2. 02

    Warm up

Shoulders, hips, knees. Slow work first, so the fast work has somewhere to stand.

  3. 03

    Learn one movement

A single technique, shown once, then done again. And again. Nothing is added until it holds.

  4. 04

    Work with a partner

Close-range drills with someone at your level. Light contact, no pressure, no performance.

Slow is not the warm-up. Slow is the work.

The room

A plain floor,
and time.

Classes run in Eugene, Oregon. The room is plain on purpose — bare boards and enough space to work in pairs without stepping on anyone.

Kids' kung fu runs as its own class, with the same movements taught at a younger pace. Women's self-defense is taught as close-range work: what to do when the distance has already closed.

Private lessons are for the student who wants the repetition slowed down further, or sped up.
