Five ways to start reading with us.

How it works

Three steps to your first session.

No appointment line, no waiting room. Tell us which program you want and the hours you actually have, and we will take it from there.

  1. 01

    Choose your program

Adult tutoring, ESL classes, reading workshops, book distribution, or family literacy night. Start with the one you need most.

  2. 02

    Tell us your hours

Share the days and times that work around your job, your shift, or your kids' school day. We schedule around your week, not ours.

  3. 03

    We confirm your place

We get back to you by email or phone with the details of your session or class, and where to meet us.

Book distribution

Books that go home with people.

At book distribution, the tables come out and everyone takes something to read. Books are for keeping — on your own shelf, in your kid's room, or in a classroom that needs them.

  • Picture books and early readers for the youngest readers in the house
  • Chapter books for kids and teens who are ready for a longer story
  • Books for grown-ups who want something of their own to read

Family literacy night

One evening. The whole family.

Family literacy night brings kids and grown-ups to the same table. Everyone takes a turn reading out loud, and nobody is too old or too young to join in.

  • Stories read aloud for the whole room
  • Parents and children reading together, side by side
  • Held in the evening, after work and after school
