Availability

Six programs,
one clear board.

Availability moves week to week. Every level below shows where it stands right now, so you can take an open spot or join the line without calling around to ask.

How it works

Three steps, no phone tag.

The desk keeps one list per level and works it in order. Here is how it runs.

  1. 01

    Check the board

Start on this page. Each program shows whether it is open or waitlisted, so you know where to look first.

  2. 02

Take the spot or join the line

Open levels book right away. If your level is waitlisted, leave your details once and you are in line for it.

  3. 03

    Hear back from the desk

When a slot opens, the desk calls in waitlist order. If it is not your week, your place in line stays where it is.

Our water

A Tacoma kind of wet.

We live where it rains sideways, the mountain shows up out of nowhere, and every kid ends up near water. Learning to swim here means learning to be at home in it — not afraid of it.

Blue Otter teaches in Tacoma, Washington, for families across the South Sound — Parent-and-Tot through summer intensives, with instructors who meet nervous swimmers where they are and build from there.

Ready when you are

Take the open spot,
or hold your place.

Open levels book straight from the board. If your level is waitlisted, one sign-up keeps your swimmer in line and the desk calls you when it clears.

Before you sign up

  • Match the level first Not sure where your swimmer fits? Start with the program that matches what they can already do, and the desk will confirm it at sign-up.
  • One sign-up per swimmer Joining more than one list slows the desk down. One level, one entry, one call.
  • Waitlisted levels still move Group lessons and summer intensives carry the longest lines, so joining early keeps your swimmer in order.
  • Open means open If a level shows Open, that spot is live — book it instead of waiting for a call that may not come.
