The classes

Low impact,
close attention.

Classes stay small so your teacher can see what you are doing. Each one opens with breath and warm-up, moves through precise, controlled work, and finishes with a long stretch — so you leave the studio steadier than you came in.

01

Barre classes

Small, controlled movements at the barre, set to music that keeps you moving. Low impact on the joints, high attention from your teacher, and a thorough finish.

Low impact · Full body
02

Reformer pilates

Springs, straps and a sliding carriage. Reformer work builds deep strength and length, one deliberate movement at a time, with the carriage set to your level.

Springs · Alignment
03

Prenatal sessions

Sessions shaped around your changing body, with props and pacing chosen to keep you supported as your pregnancy moves along. Pilates experience is welcome, not required.

Props · Support · Every trimester

Teacher training

For the mover who wants to hold the room: cueing, watching, and building classes that carry people through. Ask about upcoming training dates and how to register.

Prenatal

Strength that holds you.

Prenatal sessions at Blue Heron are built around your changing body. Props, positions and pacing are chosen so you stay comfortable and supported through each trimester, and your teacher adjusts the hour as you go — nothing is fixed in advance.

Tell your teacher where you are in your pregnancy and how you are feeling that day, and the session is built from there. Comfortable movement, at your own pace, with someone watching your form the whole time.

The soft lining of a nest is the part that makes it somewhere you can stay.
Private sessions

A quiet corner of the studio.

Some work is better done one to one. A private session gives you the whole hour — the reformer or the barre, your teacher's full attention, and a plan that changes as you do.

  • Returning to movement after a long break, at a pace that suits you.
  • Refining your form on the reformer, spring by spring.
  • Booking around your own schedule and your own goals.

Teacher training

Learn to hold the room.

Teacher training at Blue Heron is for the mover who wants to teach — to cue clearly, to watch closely, and to build classes that carry people through. You will work on the reformer and at the barre, with feedback on your own movement as well as the way you lead it.

If you are ready to teach, ask about upcoming training and how to register your place.
