Tooling
Molds, masters and fixtures built in our own shop and finished to the shape your part actually needs. The second part is only as good as the tool that made the first.
Composite manufacturing · Wichita, Kansas
Wichita knows how to build. We know how to make it lighter. Custom composite tooling and parts in carbon fiber and fiberglass — from the first prototype to the parts that follow it.
Capabilities
Every composite job has two halves — the mold that shapes it, and the part that comes out of it. We build both in one shop, so the tool and the part never get designed apart.

One-off shapes, turned around quickly, so you can hold the part and check the fit before you commit to a production mold.
Light, stiff and repeatable. Carbon parts built to carry real load without the weight that usually comes with it.
Durable, cost-effective parts for covers, panels, enclosures and the pieces that have to take a knock and keep going.
Resin pulled through a closed mold for consistent wall thickness and a clean finish on both faces of the part.
Send us the part or the drawing. We'll tell you which process fits and what the tooling looks like.
The shop
Apex Composites builds composite parts in Wichita, where the horizon is a straight line and the work gets measured the same way. Tooling, layup and finishing all happen under one roof.
How it runs
Straight through, with no handoffs to another shop. You talk to the people who cut the tool and pull the part.
A drawing, a model, or the broken original itself. Tell us what it has to do and where it has to fit.
We come back with a process, a tooling approach and a quote for the run — before anything gets cut.
We cut the tool, pull the first part and put it in your hands to check against the drawing.
Signed off, we run the parts, hold the tolerances, and keep the tool here for the next order.

Tell us about the part. A drawing, a CAD model or a phone photo of the original all work — we quote from what you have.
